iCAN Science Seminar on Optimizing cancer treatment through game theory with Assoc. Prof. Kateřina Staňková

Welcome to iCAN Science Seminar with Kateřina Staňková on Optimizing cancer treatment through game theory. Kateřina Staňková is associate professor in dynamic game theory in the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at the Delft University of Technology.

The seminar focuses on tumor evolution and its control using mathematical modeling. Staňková will show how game theory (mathematical theory of interaction) provides means to optimally model and control tumor evolution and response to treatment. Game theoretical approaches are demonstrated with experimental data in prostate and lung cancer.

When: Tue 17.3.2026 at 13:30–14:30 UTC+2

Where: Biomedicum 1 (Haartmaninkatu 8, 00290 Helsinki) Seminar room 3, and on Zoom. (Meeting ID is 678 5961 5283. Please sign in to Zoom to join the seminar.)
